The Dhamar Participatory Rural Development Project (DPRDP) is playing an important role in development of the rural economy of Dhamar Governorate through various initiatives, including village groups, farmers’ associations, capacity-building activities, skills development programmes, credit and saving groups, natural resource management, water users’ associations and infrastructure development. These development activities generally target young people, who have few or no employment opportunities due to slow economic growth and little investment in the rural economy.
