Generation and Transfer of Agricultural Technology and Seed Production Project

The objective of this project was to increase incomes and improve living standards and nutritional levels for poor farmers in five selected regions. The regions chosen have a high concentration of smallholder farms, ranging from 1 to 4 ha in size. Most of the target communities are indigenous, producing mainly food crops with some small-scale livestock farms. The project worked to develop and disseminate technology and research for agriculture, and to improve productivity for traditional or subsistence farmers, especially crop production.
