Southwest Anhui Integrated Agricultural Development Project

The project helped to alleviate chronic poverty and raise the standard of living of very poor households. The project increased household food security through land development and higher productivity; facilitated access to financial services through the promotion of grass-roots, rural financial intermediaries; created cash income opportunities through the promotion of cash crops and off-farm activities; and improved living conditions through the provision of social services and related facilities.
