National Microfinance Programme Support Project (PPMF)

The National Microfinance Programme Support Project is intended to strengthen and maintain a system of properly supervised microfinance institutions as permanent service providers accessible to all sectors of the population.

The project has the aim of strengthening national advisory mechanisms to promote effective implementation of the national microfinance policy. It supports the consolidation of microfinance networks, including extension of their coverage and diversification of their services.

The PPMF provides support to the Microfinance Unit set up within the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and also to the National Microfinance Committee, an autonomous advisory body responsible for steering development of this sector in Cameroon.
