Integrated Rural Development Project

The Integrated Rural Development Project will be implemented in the four contiguous raions (administrative districts) of Agdash, Yevlakh, Sheki and Oghuz.

The project’s goal is to reduce rural poverty in the four targeted districts through increased food security and enhanced income-raising opportunities.

In particular, the project will:

  • assist poor rural people in improving their skills to use available natural resources effectively and efficiently in order to achieve sustainable productivity and profitability for crop and livestock husbandry;
  • improve the incomes of men and women producers through better farm management and access to credit.

The project is fully aligned with the Government's strategies and policies, in particular the State Program on Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development and the State Program on Secure Food Supply to the Population.
