IFAD partners in Pakistan

IFAD’s principal development partners in Pakistan are the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. IFAD has co-financed four projects, now completed, with the World Bank. IFAD has also built up a strong partnership with the Asian Development Bank, which has cofinanced 8 out of 19 projects in Pakistan. Other partners have been the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP).

IFAD’s partnership with non-governmental organizations has been fundamental both in helping mobilize communities and in encouraging rural poor people to assume ownership of project activities.
