IFAD partners in the Comoros

IFAD works in close collaboration with the Government of the Union of the Comoros as well as with the governments of each of the islands, and harmonizes its activities with donors active in the archipelago in order to develop complementary activities, according to the areas of expertise of each partner.

More specifically, IFAD is part of the United Nations Development Framework (UNDAF) and coordinates interventions related to the implementation of the national strategy for growth and poverty reduction; the strategy for agriculture; and the programme for biodiversity with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Bank. IFAD is also working closely with the European Union, France and the World Bank on activities for enhancing food production and incomes, managing marine resources and developing infrastructure and rural finance.
